When I attempt to sell my business, what are the critical points I need to consider/
Well the most obvious issue is the value of my business. When I sell my business , either thru a business broker or thru a private sale, it is critical that I have the correct asking price. Why? Because if I ask too much when I sell my business, the market will dismiss my business as overpriced. Again, if I ask too little when I sell my business, I am cheating myself of the just reward I deserve for the years of hard work I have put into building my business.
What I need is a credible package of information for a potential buyer and his accountant to assess, which outlines the profit history of the business and its position in the market place, plus a fair representation of the businesses potential for the future.
I can do this before I sell my business by engaging an associate member of Business Valuer Network to produce a valuation report.
